“A Thanksgiving Poem”
Many have written poems-
about the things they’re thankful for.
But given the Thanksgiving Season-
it can’t hurt to write one more.
For I am thankful for many things.
Perhaps too many to name.
But I shall do my best anyway-
to share them just the same.
I am thankful for my health.
I am thankful for my home.
I am thankful for every token and gift.
I am thankful for all that I own.
But what I am most thankful for-
is all the love God has given me-
reflected in the hearts of all my friends-
and each member of my family.
God has given me many things-
and it’s hard sometimes to remember.
But I do my best at least once a year-
on the fourth Thursday in November.
