"Halloween: The Best Part of Fall"
Though the hues are warm, being red, brown, and gold-
The air carries a biting chill, promising soon to turn cold.
Daylight fades more quickly now; sooner the nights unfold-
Leaves fall to the ground knowing it’s time to release their hold.
They paint the ground with color and crunch beneath our feet-
Releasing an amber aroma, more masculine than sweet.
Soon comes the night when children will trick-or-treat-
disguised as various creatures you wouldn’t want to meet!
So carve the jack-o-lantern and buy candy enough for all.
Don your costume, paint your face, be prepared to have a ball!
Listen for children’s laughter as those goblins come to call.
And pass out treats joyfully for this is the best part of the Fall!
