Heather's Poetry:La Jolla Cove

There I was~
at La Jolla Cove~
with several of my~
friends of old.

We were watching~
the waves crashing down~
and the sea gulls flying~
all around.

We watched the seals~
stretched out in the sun~
and the children~
in the sand having fun.

We saw the footprints~
of the lovers in the sand~
who strolled by us~
hand in hand.

And as the waves~
crashed onto the shore~
we realized that~
we couldn't ask for more.

A place of peace~
with friends so true~
is the best life offers~
to me and you.
